Sports Injuries in Young Athletes: Key Tips for Parents

One of the most common concerns for parents is how to prevent and manage sports injuries. These injuries can affect a child’s growth, confidence, and enjoyment of sport.

To help we are hosting a Parents Evening next week focused on sports injuries in young athletes.
Date: Monday 19th & Wednesday 21st
Time: 5.15pm or 6.30pm
Duration: 15 minutes
Location: Club room
Extras: Free coffee and tea available
The event will be delivered by Shires Physio, with support from a physio at the Warwickshire Institute of Sport. They will share expert advice and answer your questions.

Running Spikes for Young Athletes

Many parents have started buying running spikes for their children, either from Warwick Sports or online. This is especially helpful for Teen Academy members who train on icy or wet tracks during colder months.
TIPS:
Always buy spikes one size bigger than your school shoe.
Buy spikes suitable for their event; sprints or endurance.
Only have 6mm length for track
