LAA aims to create an environment where everyone involved feels safe and secure to enable them to achieve their potential in track & field.

Welfare covers a range of issues such as safeguarding and protecting children, anti-bullying, equity, poor practice in coaching as well as disciplinary and grievance matters.

L.A.A welfare encompasses policies and procedures which set out minimum standards of expectations such as:

  • codes of conduct

  • procedures for dealing with child protection concerns

  • welfare issues

  • parent complaints

  • implementation of COVID-19 regulations


LAA works with England Athletics’ to meet their statutory responsibilities to safeguard and protect children.


LAA takes its responsibilities towards the welfare of young people very seriously. We wish to ensure a fun and safe environment for parents, athletes and coaches.

Established in September 2011 and affiliated in 2014, Leamington Athletics Academy (LAA) is a multi-event athletics club, training athletes from 6 years to 18 years old in all track and field events.
