We Won Big - Leamington Athletics Club Shines at First League Meeting in 6 Years!

What an exhilarating day it was for LAA after a six-year break, the club made a triumphant return to competitive athletics.

With an excited composite team joinng LAA with Leam C&AC and gathered under the banner of Leamington Athletics Club (LAC), our U13 and U15 athletes showed talent and determination and clinched victory by a staggering 300 points over the second-placed club

Despite the chilly weather, the warmth of community support from friends, family motivated everyone to give their very best. Many thanks to all the parents who made the effort to get their young athletes to Nunnery Woods in Worcester.

Unforgettable Performances

Several LAA athletes braved their first hurdles race and all survived! Edith Ward clocked a PB 14 seconds faster in her 1500m! Gabrielle Onyekwe long jumped 4.39m, to place her 15th in the country in U13G.

A Team Effort

The success story is largely thanks to the leadership of our team managers, Rachel Berney (LAA) and Paul Gussin (C&AC) who motivated athletes to push through nerves and compete for the team.

BOOK MAY CAMP

Camp...but with added spice!

On May Camp will be coaching all morning and competing all afternoon. It might be a quadrathlon, a heptathlon or a team competition but all children will receive a certificate with their results to help them focus on self improvement .
