We encourage everyone to send us your photos so we can share the experience with the entire LAA community.

Good luck to all runners!

OCTOBER HALF TERM

At the October half term (27th & 29th) all members are welcome to train on both days at half term ( no booking required) but please note, we will have only a 6:30 PM start time.

  • Tots/Mini/Junior/U13: Training will last for 60 minutes.

  • Teens: Training will extend to 90 minutes.

Track Tots Stop

For our youngest athletes, be aware that Track Tots will not train from November through February. There’s no need to panic; we will pause subscriptions and hold your child's place for their return in the spring.

WINTER INFO

Parking at Track

As the weather changes and the ground becomes muddy, parking can become a challenge. The grassed area will be closed off. While the council recommends parking at Victoria Park, we are actively pursuing alternative solutions, such as a walking bus from the top of River Close.

If you have any ideas or suggestions to help ease this parking issue, please reach out to us. Your input is invaluable!

Preparing for Winter

ree

As temperatures drop, we will adjust our training activities. Events like javelin, long jump, and high jump will shift to conditioning workouts to keep our athletes fit and engaged.

It’s crucial for all athletes to come prepared for colder weather. Here are some practical tips to ensure a comfortable training experience:

  • Dress in Layers: With temperatures dropping quickly as the sun sets, wearing multiple layers will help keep your child warm.

  • Bring Gloves: Cold hands can be a real distraction during training, so gloves are essential in colder weather.
