Upcoming Cross Country for Primary & Secondary School Athletes

It’s time to gear up for the cross country season. Below is a summary of all the opportunities available for students to participate in this exciting sport.
Central Warwickshire Primary Schools
School Years 5/6

We have two races and two run club sessions planned. From these, we will select pupils to represent Central Warwickshire at the Warwickshire Primary Championships on 7th March 2026.
This Warwickshire Primary race will help select pupils to compete in the National Primary Championships on 21st March at Stoneleigh Park.
To ensure your child is involved, please contact your primary school’s PE coordinator to confirm their participation. Full event details can be found HERE.
Secondary Schools Cross Country
School Years 7-12

Your PE teacher will share information about upcoming cross country events. If they don't, please ask!
Key dates to note include:
Inter Area event: 29th September
English Schools Cup: 6th December
Warwickshire Schools Championships: 17th January
ISA Championships: 28th February
English Schools National Championships: 14th March
If you have any questions, just ask. Please contact your child’s PE teacher or check the WSAA website for updates.
Club Cross Country
School Year 4-12
Minimum age: 9 years old before February

LAA participates in the West Mids League, where athletes can compete in five scheduled races throughout the season. We are fortunate to partner with Kenilworth Runners for this initiative.
