The information in this update explains; how athletes can train over summer (open to non-members), details on booking summer camp (recep-Yr8) and a brief report on recent performances by athletes from LAA.
SUMMER EVENING TRAINING TICKET

From Monday 20th July to Wednesday 26th August, children in school years 2-13 (as of June 2026) can train over summer on Wednesdays and Mondays.
Sessions are open to both members and non-members.
o Primary age (year 2- 6)
6:30-7:30pm £40
o Secondary age (year 7-13)
6:30-8:00pm £50
To attend any or all of these sessions (12) everyone must buy a summer training ticket.
SUMMER CAMP

Our track is open for a Summer camp for children in reception to year 8. This is a fun opportunity to get your children involved in activity during summer and enjoy themselves with our outdoor space.
RECENT COMPETITIONS
o Well done to all athletes who competed in the Midlands Championships and the
U10s quadrathlon. See results HERE.

Well done Imani W. - who won gold at the Banbury U10 Quadrathlon.

o Next YDL final on Saturday 18th July. This is a competition that we are taking part in and need to create a club team. Here is the timetable. U14 and U16 athletes (year7-10) can be considered. If you would like your child to be considered for this please let us know that you are interested.
o NEXT EVENT - Affiliated athletes can enter the Leamington Open at Edmondscote on the 4th August. Events offered are: 100m, 400m, 5km, shotput and discus. Entries close on the 28th July. It is a good opportunity to gain competition experience whilst in a familiar place!
