LAA News Feb 2019



We would like to give a big Welcome to Simon Smith, ex army PTI and Ironman , who has joined the team to support Teen Academy.


Congratulations to those who recently qualified as Assistant coaches

Good luck to Dale Stock and Ellie Harrison who aim to qualify as coaches in March.


As you can see we have a new club logo which we will be placing on the new Club Kit which will be available to buy from 1st April.


We will post full details and take a orders for kit before 31st April, ready for the summer track season.


Competition vests will remain the same until 1st September 2019





In December 2018 LAA was awarded Clubmark. This is a certificate of validation from EA that our club has high standards of delivery, welfare and coaching.

SPORTSHALL


What a lot of fun we have had this season! Lots of athletes making real progress in many events. Overall 56 athletes represented LAA across the season.


Congratulations to those seven athletes chosen for County representation. We are very proud :-)


Special mentions to Gabe Ball for Overall U15Boys Award and to Fatima Dambatta who will be attending the Nationals and representing the West Midlands.

CROSS COUNTRY

What a tremendously obliging XC winter of

races we have had. Some rain, some wind, some rain but not to bad! Many athletes have really learnt to pace

themselves better or push hard.

Well done to all 38 athletes

who dared to have a go.
